Dr. Farhan is the Director of Bariatric Surgery for Hurley Medical Center and Chair of the Department of Surgery at Hurley Medical Center. He is a board certified General Surgeon. As a busy general surgeon, Dr. Farhan also takes care of trauma patients and teaches Advanced Trauma Life Support to physicians and students.

Dr. Farhan has specialized in bariatric and advanced laparoscopic surgery since 2001 and has performed more than 3,000 bariatric procedures including gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, and adjustable gastric band surgery.

Dr. Kristoffer Wong is board certified in General Surgery and Trauma/Surgical Critical Care. He is the Director of the Robotics Committee and the Director of Hurley Hernia Centers of Excellence. Dr. Wong’s expertise is in minimally invasive and robotic surgery. He received his medical degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed his residency at St. John Providence Health System and his fellowship in Surgical Critical Care at Wayne State University as well as a fellowship in Trauma Surgery at Hurley Medical Center. Dr. Wong has more than 5 years’ experience in bariatric surgery and offers minimally invasive bariatric procedures via robotic technique.
