Amanda Carlson, MA, LPC, ACAS is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over a decade of experience providing compassionate and effective therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. She holds a Master of Arts in Counseling from Spring Arbor University, a Bachelor of Science in Applied Psychology from the University of Michigan-Flint, and a Graduate Certificate in Biblical Studies from Regent University.
Ms. Carlson is an Advanced Certified Autism Specialist and a trained supervisor for limited licensed professional counselors. She is also an active member of the American Counseling Association, reflecting her dedication to ongoing professional development and ethical practice. Her clinical specialties include treating Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and autism. Ms. Carlson employs eclectic and neuro-affirming approaches that blend Christian-based counseling with evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Play Therapy, mindfulness practices, and trauma-informed care. Ms. Carlson is also the Clinical Director of Hurley Mental Health Associates.
