Highly specialized, comprehensive treatment for bleeding and clotting disorders
One of nine federally- and privately-funded centers in Michigan, the Eastern Michigan Center for Bleeding and Clotting Disorders at Hurley Medical Center provides complete medical management and home care services to persons with bleeding and clotting disorders such as hemophilia, von Willebrand’s disease, platelet disorders, thrombosis and thrombophilia.
Hemophilia Treatment Centers are a nationwide federally-funded network of multidisciplinary centers that specialize in the diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of hemophilia and other bleeding and clotting disorders. Comprehensive treatment teams include adult and pediatric hematologists, nurses, physical therapists, orthopedists, social workers, dentists, genetic counselors and medical laboratory technologists, all working together to deliver the highest level of Patient- and Family-Centered Care.
