Hurley Asthma Clinic

Asthma is far too common in our area, afflicting thousands of children and adults. Our Hurley Asthma Clinic is leading the fight against asthma with its Home-based Asthma Disease Management Program (which won a national EPA award in 2009), the only one of its kind in the region.

Hurley Bariatric Center

The Hurley Bariatric Center has been recognized as a Center of Excellence by six separate accrediting entities, including the American College of Surgeons, signifying an ongoing commitment by our medical staff to provide the best possible care for our weight loss patients. Our board certified bariatric surgeons specialize in gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy and adjustable gastric band surgery, and are credentialed in critical care at a Level 1 trauma center.  

Hurley Cancer Center

The best cancer care in the region can be found at the Hurley Cancer Center which combines state-of-the-art treatments with educational and support services for faster recovery and positive long-term outcomes.

Hurley Diabetes Center

Diabetes is a serious health concern here in Genesee County and we aggressively combat it with our Diabetes Education Program, which provides not only education but also medical self-management, something no other program. The Hurley Diabetes Center offers an adult diabetes classes, and Hurley Medical Center offers diabetes classes for children and pregnant women.

Level 1 Trauma Center

When someone is seriously sick or injured, Hurley Medical Center’s Level 1 Trauma Center is the only facility in the region with the specialized physicians, staff and technology to provide the highest level of medical care. 

NICHE

At Hurley, we highly value our geriatric patients. Our NICHE Program (Nurses Improving Care for the Healthsystem Elders) delivers the highest level of clinical care that meets older patients’ unique needs.

Hurley Comprehensive Breast Cancer Program

Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer among Michigan women. But with the area’s most experienced, highly-trained team of surgeons and oncologists, our state-of-the-art digital mammography, and the only in-hospital breast MRI in the region, Hurley Medical Center is leading the fight against breast cancer. Our Comprehensive Breast Cancer Program was recently certified by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, the only accrediting body of the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer.
