Michael Yachcik, LMSW
Michael Yachcik has been a full-time practicing school social worker for approximately 25 years and a part-time clinical social worker for 23 years. He mostly works with children who are experiencing social/emotional difficulties within the home and/or school environments. He has a good understanding of the Michigan Special Education code and process, and works with many children with special education impairments. The bulk of his caseload at HMHA consists of children struggling with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Bipolar Disorder as well as children with adjustment and attachment issues. Michael believes in a holistic approach that includes the cooperation and involvement of the home, school and clinical environment. Michael works part-time one evening a week.
