Sojourner Truth once quoted, “It is the mind that makes the body.” Ms. Darden is a strong believer in the importance of having a healthy state of mind. When one has a healthy frame of mind, it helps promote peace. Ms. Darden is very passionate about empowering individuals who face challenges in life by building on their strengths and helping them to reach their personal and emotional goals. Ms. Darden received her master’s degree from Michigan State University and graduated with a BA from the University of Michigan. She has worked with individuals and families in the social work field for over 26 years. During her career she has focused on teen issues, family relationship difficulties, special needs, low self-esteem, health and human services, and a variety of other support services. She works with individuals age 10 and older and deals with issues such as Anxiety, Post-Traumatic Stress, Self- Harm, ADHD, Low Self-Esteem, Bipolar Disorder and Panic Disorder. Ms. Darden’s treatment approaches include Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Solution Focused therapy, a Psychodynamic Approach, and Mindfulness. She looks forward to meeting you and working with you.
