Sedexo Brings Fast, Casual Indian Concept, Café Spice to Hurley Medical Center Cafeteria
Sept. 26–Sedexo, Inc. announced today that it has signed an agreement with the award-winning Indian concept, Café Spice, to bring traditional Indian cuisine with a South Asian flair to Sedexo operations across country, including Hurley Medical Center’s cafeteria. The concept made its non-traditional university debut at Babson College in Massachusetts and at Georgia Tech in Atlanta. Café Spice officially opened inside Hurley’s cafeteria today.
“The menu features traditional Indian favorites like Chicken Tikka Masala, Curry Bowls and Chicken Vindaloo, all prepared using all natural ingredients and Halal meats. Also available are Café Spice’s naan sandwiches, a uniquely ‘made to order’, folded, crispy naan bread with a variety of authentic fillings. Adding to the experience is the chutney bar where guests can customize their entrée with traditional chutneys such as mango, tamarind and mint,” says Chef Steve Dunn, Sedexo Executive Chef at Hurley Medical Center.
“Indian fare plays an important role in our expanding menu as patients, visitors, physicians and Hurley Medical Center staff seek traditional ethnic flavors, including the aromatic spices and rich flavors that Cafe Spice has to offer,” says Joanne Whitlatch, Director, Clinical and Nutrition Services at Hurley.
