National Senior Health & Fitness Day May 30th

April 17-On May 30, more than 100,000 older adults will participate in health promotion events all across the U.S. at more than 1,000 local organizations. Sponsored by the Mature Market Resource Center, Senior Health & Fitness Day is the nation's largest older adult health and fitness event and is celebrating its 19th year this year.

Goal for the day: to help keep older Americans healthy and fit

Always the last Wednesday in May, National Senior Health & Fitness Day is the nation's largest annual health promotion event for older adults. Local organizations host a variety of health- and fitness-related activities based on the interests of the older adults in their communities. Event activities include fitness walks, low-impact exercises, health screenings, health information workshops, and much more! Any local organization interested in the health and fitness of older adults is eligible to host a National Senior Health & Fitness Day event.
