March 19-Four-time Swartz Creek American Idol winner Alex Ray is raising money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Please join him at Bd's Mongolian Grill, 4205 Miller Road in Flint, MI on Wednesday, March 28, from 5:00-8:00pm for an evening of great food, fun and a raffle. The fundraiser will benefit Children's Miracle Network Hospitals such as Hurley Medical Center and will offset the costs of Alex’s new song and video.

In 1997 when Alex was only 6 weeks old, he had a third of his right lung removed at Hurley Medical Center. Today, the Swartz Creek High School student is defying the odds. He plays football and baseball, is a talented musician (winning Swartz Creek’s American Idol competition four times), and is also an Honor Roll student.

Proceeds from this very special event will help offset costs of production and distribution of the new song Alex is recording. All profits from the song's sales will go directly to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals such as Hurley Medical Center. The current Miss Michigan Elizabeth Wertenberger will be at the event as a featured Guest Griller.
