Nov. 14-Tomorrow, November 15th at 10:30 a.m., former pediatric patients in white lab coats, scrubs and stethoscopes, along with Patrick Wardell, Hurley Medical Center President & CEO, and Brian Nolan, MD, Medical Director, Hurley Children’s Hospital, will unveil a much-anticipated banner announcing the launch of Hurley Children’s Hospital.

For over 30 years, Hurley Medical Center has cared for our region’s children and their families. Now we would like to introduce Hurley Children’s Hospital – a pediatric hospital within Hurley Medical Center offering the highest level of children’s medical care, centrally located in Flint but encompassing 15 counties – as far north as Alpena, west to Mt. Pleasant, east to part of the Thumb, and all of Genesee and Shiawassee Counties.

For years Hurley has been known for providing the highest level of critical care in our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Burn Unit, and Children's Emergency Department – the only ones in the region. Our brand new, state-of-the-art Children’s Emergency Department, opening March 4, 2012, will continue our proven history of excellence.
