Eating Breakfast Lowers Risk of Diabetes
May 1-People who skip breakfast have a higher risk of deveoping type 2 diabetes, according to a recent New York Times article. They also suffer setbacks in mood, memory and energy levels, and are more likely to gain weight, in part because of excess eating later in the day. Some studies show that consuming a larger proportion of calories later in the day, especially carbohydrates, has a detrimental impact on blood sugar and insulin levels.
